Abstract

Disclosed is a photo album that allows viewing of photos on a television receiver through a network. In a screen where both of a reception screen of a television and multiple application programs are displayed, if a predetermined application is selected, an access is made to a photo album, and photos can be viewed in a slide show manner. If there is a favorite photo from among the photos being viewed, a point can be given to the favorite photo. The applications are loaded from an external network.

Claims

1. An information processing apparatus comprising:

an acquisition unit acquiring image data stored in a predetermined server; and

a display control unit controlling display of an image based on image data acquired by the acquisition unit,

wherein the predetermined server manages image data of the image by adding information based on evaluation of a plurality of viewers to the image, and

the acquisition unit acquires image data suitable for predetermined information at a predetermined interval.

2. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising:

an application acquisition unit acquiring an application,

wherein, when the application is acquired by the application acquisition unit, the display control unit controls display of a background based on background data, which is included in the application, and controls display such that the image based on image data to be acquired by the acquisition unit is displayed on the background.

3. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1,

wherein the display control unit performs control such that the image is displayed beside a screen of a program of television broadcasting.

4. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1,

wherein the display control unit controls display such that the image is displayed differently in different modes, and

the modes are switched by a user'"'"'s instruction.

5. An information processing method comprising the steps of:

acquiring image data stored in a predetermined server; and

controlling display of an image based on the acquired image data,

wherein the predetermined server manages image data of the image by adding information based on evaluation of a plurality of viewers to the image, and

image data to be acquired is image data suitable for predetermined information and is acquired at a predetermined interval.

6. A computer-readable program that controls a processing comprising the steps of:

acquiring image data stored in a predetermined server; and

controlling display of an image based on the acquired image data,

wherein the predetermined server manages image data of the image by adding information based on evaluation of a plurality of viewers to the image, and

image data to be acquired is image data suitable for predetermined information and is acquired at a predetermined interval.
