Abstract

A method for one or more portions of one or more regions of an electronic paper assembly having one or more display layers includes, but is not limited to: obtaining first information regarding one or more positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly and sending one or more electronic paper assembly physical status related information portions to the electronic paper assembly based upon the obtaining of the first information. In addition to the foregoing, other related method/system aspects are described in the claims, drawings, and text forming a part of the present disclosure.

Claims

1. For a system separate from and communicatively linked to an electronic paper assembly, the electronic paper assembly having one or more portions of one or more regions, a method comprising:

obtaining first information regarding one or more positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly; and

sending one or more electronic paper assembly physical status related information portions to the electronic paper assembly based upon the obtaining of the first information.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the obtaining first information regarding one or more positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly comprises:

obtaining detection information associated with one or more positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the obtaining first information regarding one or more positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly comprises:

obtaining strain information associated with one or more positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the obtaining first information regarding one or more positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly comprises:

obtaining stress information associated with one or more positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein the obtaining first information regarding one or more positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly comprises:

obtaining calibration related information associated with one or more positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein the obtaining first information regarding one or more positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly comprises:

obtaining sequence information associated with one or more positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly.

10. The method of claim 1, wherein the obtaining first information regarding one or more positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly comprises:

obtaining information related to predetermined indicia associated with one or more positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly.

12. The method of claim 1, wherein the obtaining first information regarding one or more positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly comprises:

obtaining information based on one or more associations between two or more of the positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly.

15. The method of claim 1, wherein the obtaining first information regarding one or more positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly comprises:

obtaining origami-like folding information associated with one or more positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly.

17. The method of claim 15, wherein obtaining origami-like folding information associated with one or more positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly comprises:

obtaining information regarding two or more origami-like shapes resultant from one or more folding sequences of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly associated with one or more positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly.

19. The method of claim 1, wherein the obtaining first information regarding one or more positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly comprises:

obtaining bend number information associated with one or more positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly.

23. The method of claim 1, wherein the obtaining first information regarding one or more positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly comprises:

obtaining gestured information associated with one or more positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly.

41. The method of claim 1, wherein the obtaining first information regarding one or more positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly comprises:

obtaining geographical position information associated with one or more positions of the one or more portions of the one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly.

43. The method of claim 1, wherein the obtaining first information regarding one or more positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly comprises:

obtaining position information relative to a global positioning satellite reference associated with one or more positions of the one or more portions of the one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly.

44. The method of claim 1, wherein the obtaining first information regarding one or more positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly comprises:

obtaining position information relative to a table top reference grid associated with one or more positions of the one or more portions of the one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly.

sending the first information regarding one or more positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper.

57. The method of claim 1, wherein the sending one or more electronic paper assembly physical status related information portions to the electronic paper assembly based upon the obtaining of the first information comprises:

sending information associated with one or more changes in one or more sequences of two or more conformations of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly.

59. The method of claim 1, wherein the sending one or more electronic paper assembly physical status related information portions to the electronic paper assembly based upon the obtaining of the first information comprises:

sending information associated with one or more changes in one or more orientations of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly.

sending information associated with one or more changes in one or more GPS locations of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly with respect to another object.

means for obtaining first information regarding one or more positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly; and

means for sending one or more electronic paper assembly physical status related information portions to the electronic paper assembly based upon the obtaining of the first information.

148. A system separate from and communicatively linked to an electronic paper assembly, the electronic paper assembly having one or more portions of one or more regions, the system comprising:

a signal-bearing medium bearing;

one or more instructions for obtaining first information regarding one or more positions of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly; and

one or more instructions for sending one or more electronic paper assembly physical status related information portions to the electronic paper assembly based upon the obtaining of the first information.
