1. A liquid crystal display device having a plurality of pixels, and comprising, in each of the plurality of pixels, a reflection region for reflecting incident light toward a display surface, wherein,the reflection region includes a metal layer, a semiconductor layer formed on the metal layer, and a reflective layer formed on the semiconductor layer;

  • a plurality of first recesses or protrusions and a plurality of second recesses or protrusions are formed on a surface of the reflective layer;

    the plurality of first recesses or protrusions are formed so as to conform to the shapes of recesses or protrusions of the metal layer, and the plurality of second recesses or protrusions are formed so as to conform to the shapes of recesses or protrusions of the semiconductor layer; and

    the plurality of first recesses or protrusions have a plurality of first pairs of first recesses or protrusions adjoining along a first direction, the plurality of first pairs including two pairs whose intervals between recesses or protrusions are different from each other, orthe plurality of second recesses or protrusions have a plurality of second pairs of second recesses or protrusions adjoining along a second direction, the plurality of second pairs including two pairs whose intervals between recesses or protrusions are different from each other.
