Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a method, system and computer-readable recording medium for providing an electronic map-based service. According to an aspect of the disclosure, a method of recognizing a shape included in image data associated with an electronic map includes: acquiring region information corresponding to first image data; determining a candidate region on the electronic map using the region information; determining at least one candidate image using the candidate region; and recognizing a shape included in the first image data using the candidate image.

Claims

1. A method of recognizing a shape included in image data associated with an electronic map, comprising:

acquiring region information corresponding to first image data on the electronic map;

determining a candidate region on the electronic map using the region information;

determining at least one candidate image using the candidate region; and

recognizing a shape included in the first image data using the at least one candidate image.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the region information comprises coordinates on the electronic map, and the candidate region on the electronic map comprises a region within a radius with reference to the coordinates or a region within a polygon with reference to the coordinates.

3. The method of claim 2, wherein the first image data is associated with information about a direction in which the first image data is captured.

4. The method of claim 3, wherein the candidate region on the electronic map comprises a region within an angle with reference to the direction in which the first image data is captured.

The method of claim 2, wherein the first image data is comprised of pixel columns, each of which is associated with direction information and at least one of which is part of the shape included in the first image data, and wherein determining a candidate region on the electronic map comprises using the direction information of the pixel columns that comprise the shape included in the first image data.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein determining at least one candidate image comprises:

acquiring at least one piece of shape identification information using the candidate region on the electronic map; and

determining an image corresponding to the acquired shape identification information as the at least one candidate image.

7. The method of claim 6, wherein the at least one piece of shape identification information comprises identification information of a geographical feature or an object included in the candidate region of the electronic map.

8. The method of claim 7, wherein recognizing a shape comprises:

acquiring at least one sample shape image using the at least one piece of shape identification information;

calculating a degree of similarity between the at least one sample shape image and the shape included in the first image data; and

recognizing the shape included in the first image data based on the degree of similarity.

9. A method of generating an association relation between image data associated with an electronic map, comprising:

acquiring region information corresponding to first image data associated with the electronic map;

determining a candidate region on the electronic map using the region information;

acquiring at least one piece of shape identification information using the candidate region on the electronic map;

determining second image data using the at least one piece of shape identification information; and

generating an association relation between the first image data and the second image data.

10. The method of claim 9, wherein the at least one piece of shape identification information comprises identification information of a geographical feature or an object included in the candidate region on the electronic map.

11. The method of claim 10, wherein the second image data is associated with a region on the electronic map where the geographical feature or object corresponding to the at least one piece of shape identification information is marked.

12. The method of claim 11, wherein determining second image data comprises:

calculating a degree of similarity between the first image data and third image data that comprises the geographical feature or object corresponding to the at least one piece of shape identification information; and

determining, as the second image data based on the calculated degree of similarity, image data associated with the region on the electronic map where the geographical feature or the object corresponding to the at least one piece of shape identification information is marked.

13. The method of claim 9, wherein the second image data comprises the at least one piece of shape identification information as tag information.

14. The method of claim 9, wherein the association relation is generated using at least one of information about a particular region on the first image data, identification information about the second image data, and identification information used in determining the second image data.

15. A method of providing image data to a terminal unit, the method comprising:

storing second image data in association with a particular region on first image data, the second image data being acquired using a particular region on the electronic map corresponding to the first image data and direction information of the first image data;

providing the first image data to a terminal unit; and

providing the second image data to the terminal unit if the particular region on the first image data is selected through the terminal unit.

16. The method of claim 15, wherein the first image data is acquired using a search keyword input from the terminal unit.

17. A system for recognizing a shape included in image data associated with an electronic map, comprising:

a candidate shape filtering part that acquires region information corresponding to first image data on the electronic map, determines a candidate region on the electronic map using the region information, and determines at least one candidate image using the candidate region; and

a shape recognition part that recognizes a shape included in the first image data using the at least one candidate image.

18. The system of claim 17, wherein the region information comprises coordinates on the electronic map, and the candidate region on the electronic map comprises a region within a radius with reference to the coordinates or a region within a polygon with reference to the coordinates.

19. A system for generating an association relation between image data associated with an electronic map, comprising:

a candidate shape filtering part that acquires region information corresponding to first image data on the electronic map, determines a candidate region on the electronic map using the region information, and acquires at least one piece of shape identification information using the candidate region;

a shape recognition part that determines second image data using the at least one piece of shape identification information; and

an image association part that generates an association relation between the first image data and the second image data.

20. A system for providing image data to a terminal unit, comprising:

an image link generation module that acquires second image data using a particular region on an electronic map corresponding to first image data and direction information of the first image data and stores the second image data in association with a particular region on the first image data; and

a user interface module that provides the first image data to the terminal unit and provides the second image data to the terminal unit if the particular region on the first image data is selected through the terminal unit.

21. A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising an executable program which, when executed, performs the steps of:

acquiring region information corresponding to first image data on the electronic map;

determining a candidate region on the electronic map using the region information;

determining at least one candidate image using the candidate region; and

recognizing a shape included in the first image data using the at least one candidate image.

22. A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising an executable program which, when executed, performs the steps of:

acquiring region information corresponding to first image data associated with the electronic map;

determining a candidate region on the electronic map using the region information;

acquiring at least one piece of shape identification information using the candidate region on the electronic map;

determining second image data using the at least one piece of shape identification information; and

generating an association relation between the first image data and the second image data.

23. A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising an executable program which, when executed, performs the steps of:

storing second image data in association with a particular region on first image data, the second image data being acquired using a particular region on the electronic map corresponding to the first image data and direction information of the first image data;

providing the first image data to a terminal unit; and

providing the second image data to the terminal unit if the particular region on the first image data is selected through the terminal unit.
