Image processing method, image processing apparatus, and image processing program
First Claim
1. An image processing apparatus, comprising:
- an image obtaining section, for obtaining a plurality of medical images that represent transverse sections of a subject, which has been imaged in advance;
a region classifying section, for classifying regions within each of the plurality of medical images as being one of a subject region that represents the interior of the surface of the subject'"'"'s body, and a non subject region that represents the exterior of the surface of the subject'"'"'s body; and
a pseudo three dimensional medical image generating section, for generating a pseudo three dimensional medical image by executing an intensity projection method based on image information that represents the plurality of regions which are classified as being subject regions.

Abstract
Regions outside the surfaces of subject'"'"'s bodies being emphasized is prevented when generating pseudo three dimensional medical images. An image processing apparatus is equipped with: an image obtaining section, for obtaining a plurality of medical images that represent transverse sections of a subject, which has been imaged in advance; a region classifying section, for classifying regions within each of the plurality of medical images as being one of a subject region that represents the interior of the surface of the subject'"'"'s body, and a non subject region that represents the exterior of the surface of the subject'"'"'s body; and a pseudo three dimensional medical image generating section, for generating a pseudo three dimensional medical image by executing an intensity projection method based on image information that represents the plurality of regions which are classified as being subject regions.
