1. An editing apparatus for editing material data of a video or audio sequence, comprising:
- an editing unit, in response to a request of a user, for setting a first range and second range to a portion of the material data, said second range be subsequent to said first range;
a file generating unit for generating a video sequence file including material data corresponding to the first and second range, and material data corresponding to an additional range, wherein the additional range is consecutively preceding to and/or subsequent to the first or second range; and
an output for outputting the video sequence file, wherein if the first and second ranges are overridden by at least a portion of both ranges, the video sequence file is to contain material data corresponding to from beginning of the first range to end of the second range and the additional range, the additional range being consecutively preceding to the first range and/or subsequent to the second range

setting a first range to a portion of the material data; setting a second range to a portion of the material data, said second range be subsequent to said first range; generating a video sequence file including material data corresponding to the first and second ranges, and material data corresponding to an additional range, wherein the additional range is consecutively preceding to and/or subsequent to the first or second range; and outputting the video sequence file, wherein if the first and second ranges are overridden by at least a portion of both ranges, the video sequence file is to contain material data corresponding to from beginning of the first range to end of the second range and the additional range, the additional range being consecutively preceding to the first range and/or subsequent to the second range. - View Dependent Claims (8, 9, 10)
