1. A mobile wireless local area communications network comprising:
- a pair of nodes, namely a first node and a second node, said first node is movable into and out of a limited area of communication capability relative to said second node, said first node being associated with a vehicle, and said first node automatically transmitting vehicle data over said communication to said second node.

Abstract
A mobile wireless local area communications network includes a pair of relatively movable nodes, such as a vehicle and a house, which are movable into and out of a defined and limited area of communications relative to the fixed node. Each node has a computer and human interface capabilities to enable transfer of data between the nodes. Each has the ability to automatically connect/disconnect the nodes when the movable node moves into/out of the area of communications. The system causes performance of a function extrinsic to the communication itself as a result of the initiation or the cessation of the communication, even after the nodes have been disconnected.

10. A mobile wireless local area communications network comprising:
three nodes, namely a first node, a second node, and a third node, said first node is movable into and out of a limited area of communication relative to said second node, said first node being associated with a vehicle, said first node being within an area of communication capability relative to said third node, said first node automatically transmitting alarm message over said communication to said third node when said communication between said first node and said second node ceases to function.

11. A method of transferring data between a pair of nodes, namely a first node and a second node, comprising the steps of:
-
establishing a limited geographical area of communications relative to said second node, associating said first node with a vehicle, moving said first node from outside of said limited geographical area of communications into said limited geographical area of communications, and automatically transferring vehicle data between said first node and said second node. - View Dependent Claims (12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19)
