Abstract

A method for determining the energy level of an electromagnetic field (EMF) received from an EMF source (EMFS) and for identifying the EMFS is provided, the method comprising: receiving an EMF signal, separating the EMF signal into EMF sub-signals; determining, when possible, the energy level of EMF sub-signals; identify, when possible, the EMFS corresponding to the EMF sub-signals; and recording EMF related data. An apparatus, a system and a user graphical interface is also provided herein. Further, a network of EMFDD adapted to share EMF data therebetween is also provided herein.

Claims

1. A computer-readable medium having stored thereon computer-readable instructions that, when executed, provides a method for determining the energy level of an electromagnetic field (EMF) received from an EMF source (EMFS) and for identifying the EMFS, the method comprising:

receiving an EMF signal,

separating the EMF signal into EMF sub-signals;

determining, when possible, the energy level of EMF sub-signals;

identify, when possible, the EMFS corresponding to the EMF sub-signals; and

recording EMF related data.

2. The computer-readable medium containing computer-readable instructions providing a method for determining the energy level of an electromagnetic field of claim 1, wherein separating the EMF signal uses a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) algorithm.

The computer-readable medium containing computer-readable instructions providing a method for determining the energy level of an electromagnetic field of claim 1, wherein the received EMF signal is associated with a reception time, and each EMF sub-signal is associated with its respective reception time.

4. The computer-readable medium containing computer-readable instructions providing a method for determining the energy level of an electromagnetic field of claim 1, further comprising associating a geographical location to at least one EMF sub-signal.

5. The computer-readable medium containing computer-readable instructions providing a method for determining the energy level of an electromagnetic field of claim 4, further comprising storing the EMF sub-signal, the associated energy level and the associated geographical location on a computer-readable medium.

The computer-readable medium containing computer-readable instructions providing a method for determining the energy level of an electromagnetic field of claim 1, wherein the EMF signal is a plurality of EMF signals received from a plurality of EMF detecting devices and wherein data associated with the plurality EMF signals is shared over a network.

The computer-readable medium containing computer-readable instructions providing a method for determining the energy level of an electromagnetic field of claim 1, further comprising establishing an EMF energy level threshold and producing a signal when the determined EMF energy level exceeds the EMF energy level threshold.

8. The computer-readable medium containing computer-readable instructions providing a method for determining the energy level of an electromagnetic field of claim 1, wherein the EMF signal is received with a mobile phone.

9. The computer-readable medium containing computer-readable instructions providing a method for determining the energy level of an electromagnetic field of claim 1, wherein the EMF energy level and the EMFS are displayed on a map.

10. The computer-readable medium containing computer-readable instructions providing a method for determining the energy level of an electromagnetic field of claim 1, further comprising extrapolating the expected EMF energy level in time at a physical location, the extrapolation being based, at least in part, on the received EMF signal and the physical location.

11. A device for determining EMF energy level in the environment of an individual and for identifying EMFS thereof, the device comprising:

a receiving module adapted to receive an EMF signal;

a processing module operatively connected with the receiving module and adapted to separate the received EMF signal into a plurality of EMF sub-signals, the processing module being further adapted to determine an EMF energy level corresponding to at least one of the EMF sub-signals;

an identifying module operatively connected with the processing module and adapted to associate, when possible, an electromagnetic field source to its related EMF sub-signal;

a location module operatively connected to the processing module and adapted to identify a location associated with the sensed EMF signal; and

a storage module adapted to store EMF data thereon.

12. The device of claim 11, wherein the processing module is adapted to apply a Fast Fourier Transform to separate the EMF signal into the plurality of EMF sub-signals.

13. The device of claim 11, wherein the processing module is adapted to digitally separate the EMF signal into the plurality of sub-signals.

14. The device of claim 11, further comprising a date-time module adapted to associate a time to the EMF signal.

15. The device of claim 11, further comprising an alarm module configured to send a signal when a received EMF signal is higher than a predetermined EMF signal threshold.

16. The device of claim 11, wherein the device is a mobile phone.

17. A system for determining an energy level of an EMF signal and a corresponding EMF sub-signal received from an EMFS, the system comprising:

a plurality of EMFDD connected to a communication network; and

at least one server configured to communicate with at least some of the plurality of EMFDD.

18. The system of claim 17, wherein the system further comprises a user interface adapted to display data related to EMF signals.

19. The system of claim 18, wherein the user interface is adapted to display data related to the EMF signal in conjunction with a geographical map.

20. The system of claim 18, wherein the user interface is adapted to display a chronological history of data related to at least one of the EMF signal and the EMF sub-signal.
