1. A one-way venous valve prosthesis for percutaneous placement within a vein comprising:

  • a valve body having an inlet and an outlet with a lumen that extends there between, the valve body being operable to alternate betweena closed configuration wherein the valve body has a double cone shape with apexes located at a midsection of the valve body, wherein a valve seat is defined within the lumen of the valve body at the midsection thereof, andan open configuration wherein the valve body assumes a double frustoconical shape,wherein the valve seat is constricted to prevent blood flow there through when the valve body is in the closed configuration and the valve seat is expanded to allow blood flow there through when the valve body is in the open configuration.
