Abstract

Introduced is information that indicates a changing of “a reference that points a referenced record” to “another reference that points another record”. This information is named as “changing reference information (CRI)” and is registered to a referred record. When accessing a referencing record, there is a possibility to access referenced record by necessity of a program or an operator. At this time, CRI registered to originally referenced record is accessed. And the reference is changes to new record as indicated by the CRI. Thus, status of a DB in a device is changed by the invention. When PCs have reproduced DBs that are copy of the original and edit their own reproduced DBs so as to change a reference, these editorial contents with CRI will be propagated to other PCs. Other PCs change references of their reproduced DBs according to the CRIs.

Claims

1. A method to handle one or plural databases, comprising;

(A) a process to change a reference, that points a referenced record referenced from a referencing record, comprising following sequence of steps;

(A-1) a step to access said referencing record, and

(A-2) a step to access said referenced record, and

(A-3) a step to access a information that indicates changing “

said reference that points said referenced record”

to “

another reference that points another record”

, and

(A-4) a step to change said reference in order to point said another record, according to said information.

4. A method according to claim 1, further comprising an additional step for said process;

(A-5) a step to remove a mark showing deleted status of said another record.

(B) a process to make and send a information that indicates a changing of “

(a-1) device accessing said referencing record, and

(a-2) device accessing said referenced record, and

(a-3) device accessing a information that indicates changing “

said reference that points said referenced record”

another reference that points another record”

(a-4) device changing said reference in order to point said another record, according to said information.

3. An apparatus according to claim 2, that

(a-1) sends a signal to (a2), and

(a-2) sends a signal to (a3), and

(a-3) sends a signal to (a-4).
