Abstract

An object of the present invention is to enhance search accuracy when additional data to be added to editing target data is searched using handwriting input. An information processing method performed by an information processing apparatus includes inputting a pattern to editing target data, acquiring attribute information of the editing target data, searching additional data to be added to the editing target data by using the pattern and the attribute information, and displaying the additional data, which is searched by the search unit and added to the editing target data.

Claims

1. An information processing apparatus comprising:

an input unit configured to input a pattern to editing target data;

an acquisition unit configured to acquire attribute information of the editing target data;

a search unit configured to search additional data to be added to the editing target data by using the pattern and the attribute information; and

a display unit configured to display the additional data, which is searched by the search unit and added to the editing target data.

2. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1,

wherein the acquisition unit acquires attribute information, which is previously added to the editing target data, from the editing target data in which the pattern is input.

3. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1,

wherein the acquisition unit extracts and acquires the attribute information of the editing target data from the editing target data in which the pattern is input.

4. The information processing apparatus according to claim 3,

wherein the editing target data is image data, and

wherein the acquisition unit recognizes a face included in the image data, and extracts and acquires a number of recognized faces and a position of the face as the attribute information.

5. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1,

wherein the search unit calculates a matching level between the input pattern and a pattern, which has been previously associated with the additional data to be added to the editing target data, and a matching level between the attribution information of the editing target data and the attribution information of the additional data, and searches the additional data by using the matching levels.

6. An information processing method performed by an information processing apparatus, comprising:

inputting a pattern to editing target data;

acquiring attribute information of the editing target data;

searching additional data to be added to the editing target data by using the pattern and the attribute information; and

displaying the additional data, which is searched by the search unit and added to the editing target data.

7. A computer readable storage medium storing a computer-executable program that causes a computer to execute an information processing method, the method comprising:

inputting first track information to editing target data according to an operation by a user;

acquiring attribute information of the editing target data in which the first track information is input;

calculating a matching level between the input first track information and second track information stored in an additional data storage unit in which the second track information is associated with the attribute information of the additional data, and the matching level between the attribute information of the additional data and the attribute information of the editing target data;

outputting the additional data based on the calculated matching level; and

displaying the output additional data added to the editing target data into which the first track information is input.
