Abstract
A method of performing actions related to handover by a mobile station (MS) in a wireless mobile communication system is disclosed. More specifically, the MS receives information from a base station (BS), wherein the information includes at least one action for performing handover and at least one condition corresponding to the at least one action. Furthermore, the MS transmits a request message to perform the at least one action based on the received information from the BS and receives a response message in response to the request message. Lastly, the MS performs the at least one action according to the received response message.

23. A method for supporting a sleep mode action of a mobile station (MS) in a wireless mobile communication system, the method comprising:
-
receiving, in the MS, a first message from a serving base station (SBS) comprising trigger information, wherein the trigger information includes at least one trigger condition and at least one event action comprising a handover action which is performed upon reaching the at least one trigger condition; transmitting, from the MS, a sleep request message to the SBS comprising a first enabled triggered parameter, wherein the first enabled triggered parameter includes a first bitmap comprising a first bit which is set to indicate the handover action is enabled; receiving, in the MS, a sleep response message from the SBS comprising a second enabled triggered parameter, wherein the second enabled triggered parameter includes a second bitmap comprising a second bit which is set to indicate the handover action is enabled; entering, by the MS, a sleep mode after receiving the sleep response message; transmitting, from the MS, a handover request message to the SBS when the at least one trigger condition corresponding to the handover action is reached in the sleep mode; and receiving, in the MS, a handover response message from the SBS in response to the handover request message. - View Dependent Claims (24, 25, 26, 27, 28)
