Abstract

Provided is a composition for the treatment of keratin fibers, for example human keratin fibers such as the hair, comprising, in a cosmetically acceptable medium, at least one cationic polymer; at least one fatty amide; at least one anti-oxygen agent; and at least one oxidizing agent; wherein the pH of the composition ranges from 1.5 to 4.5. Also provided is a composition for the treatment of keratin fibers, comprising, in a cosmetically acceptable medium, at least one cationic polymer; at least one fatty amide; at least one anti-oxygen agent; and at least one oxidizing agent; wherein the pH of the composition is alkaline. Also provided is a method for treating keratin fibers, comprising applying, to the keratin fibers, at least one oxidizing composition described herein.

Claims

1. A composition for the treatment of keratin fibers comprising, in a cosmetically acceptable medium:

at least one cationic polymer;

at least one fatty amide;

at least one anti-oxygen agent; and

at least one oxidizing agent;

wherein the pH of the composition ranges from 1.5 to 4.5.

3. The composition according to claim 1, wherein the at least one cationic polymer is selected from polyamine, polyaminoamide, and quaternary polyammonium polymers.

4. The composition according to claim 1, wherein the at least one cationic polymer is selected from hexadimethrine chloride and the homo- or copolymers of dimethyldiallylammonium chloride.

5. The composition according to claim 1, wherein the at least one fatty amide is selected from those of formula (I):

R is a saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched C₈-C₃₀ alkyl radical, optionally substituted with at least one radical selected from an OR₅ radical, a NR₆R₇ radical, a carboxyl radical, a sulphonic radical, a carboxamido radical CONR₆R₇, a sulphonamido radical SO₂NR₆R₇, a heteroaryl, and an aryl radical optionally substituted with at least one entity selected from (C₁-C₄)alkyl, hydroxy, C₁-C₂ alkoxy, amino, and (di)alkyl(C₁-C₂)amino groups;

R₅, R₆ and R₇, which may be identical or different, represent;

a hydrogen atom;

a linear or branched C₁-C₄ alkyl radical, optionally substituted with at least one radical selected from a hydroxy, a C₁-C₂ alkoxy, a carboxamido CONR₈R₉, a sulphonyl SO₂R₈, and an aryl radical optionally substituted with a (C₁-C₄)alkyl, hydroxy, C₁-C₂ alkoxy, amino, or (di)alkyl(C₁-C₂)amino radical;

or

an aryl radical optionally substituted with a (C₁-C₄)alkyl, hydroxy, C₁-C₂ alkoxy, amino, or (di)alkyl(C₁-C₂)amino radical;

R₆ and R₇, which may be identical or different, can also represent a carboxamido radical CONR₈R₉ or a sulphonyl radical SO₂R₈;

R₈ and R₉, which may be identical or different, represent a hydrogen atom or a linear or branched C₁-C₄ alkyl radical optionally substituted with at least one hydroxyl or C₁-C₂ alkoxy radical;

n, m and p, which may be identical or different, are integers ranging from 0 to 10, wherein m+p≧

6. The composition according to claim 5, wherein R is selected from a C₁₀-C₁₈ alkyl radical, n is an integer ranging from 0 to 5, m is an integer ranging from 0 to 1, and p is an integer ranging from 1 to 5.

7. The composition according to claim 5, wherein n is 0.

8. The composition according to claim 1, wherein the at least one fatty amide is an ethoxylated amide of colza acids.

9. The composition according to claim 1, wherein the at least one anti-oxygen agent is selected from vitamin E and the ethers and esters thereof.

10. The composition according to claim 1, wherein the at least one oxidizing agent is selected from hydrogen peroxide, persalts, urea peroxide, alkaline bromates, and polythionates.

11. The composition according to claim 10, wherein the at least one oxidizing agent is hydrogen peroxide.

12. The composition according to claim 1, further comprising at least one oil, present in an amount of at least 10% by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition.

13. The composition according to claim 12, wherein the at least one oil is selected from non-siliconized mineral, vegetable, animal, and synthetic oils.

2. A composition for the treatment of keratin fibers comprising, in a cosmetically acceptable medium:

at least one cationic polymer;

at least one fatty amide;

at least one anti-oxygen agent selected from vitamin E and the ethers and esters thereof; and

at least one oxidizing agent;

wherein the pH of the composition is alkaline.

14. A method for treating keratin fibers comprising applying to the keratin fibers at least one oxidizing composition comprising, in a cosmetically acceptable medium:

at least one cationic polymer;

at least one fatty amide;

at least one anti-oxygen agent; and

at least one oxidizing agent;

wherein the pH of the composition ranges from 1.5 to 4.5.

15. A method for making an oxidizing composition for treating keratin fibers comprising combining, in a cosmetically acceptable medium:

at least one cationic polymer;

at least one fatty amide;

at least one anti-oxygen agent; and

at least one oxidizing agent;

wherein the pH of the composition ranges from 1.5 to 4.5; and

wherein the ingredients can be added in any order.

16. A method for treating keratin fibers comprising applying to the keratin fibers at least one oxidizing composition comprising, in a cosmetically acceptable medium:

at least one cationic polymer;

at least one fatty amide;

at least one anti-oxygen agent selected from vitamin E and the ethers and esters thereof; and

at least one oxidizing agent;

wherein the pH of the composition is alkaline.
