A power control system for an aircraft cabin, the aircraft having a plurality of seats and a power transmission line provided at the seats, each of the seats having a power outlet for powering passenger provided electronic equipment, the system further comprising an electrical circuit for connecting the power outlet and the power transmission line, the electrical circuit having a switch being responsive to a control signal for enabling a provision of power to the power outlet.
