An apparatus comprising a user input region and a sensor system, wherein the user input region comprises a plurality of keys, wherein the sensor system is proximate the user input region, wherein the sensor system is configured to determine a touch on a first one of the plurality of keys of the user input region, wherein the sensor system is configured to determine a direction of the touch on the first one of the plurality of keys, and wherein the sensor system is configured to indicate a selection of a second one of the plurality of keys based on the determined direction of the touch on the first one of the plurality of keys.
