Abstract

A system in accordance with the present invention may include one or more processors, memory that receives instructions from the one or more processors according to a clock operating at a frequency, one or more programs stored in the memory, with instructions to: access media content; analyze the media content according to meta data, media characteristics, or other media-related data; and, create a media content object cluster according to the meta data, the media characteristics, or the other media-related data.

Claims

1. A computer-implemented method for authoring media effects, comprising:

accessing media content;

analyzing the media content according to meta data, media characteristics, or other media-related data; and

creating a media content object cluster according to the meta data, the media characteristics, or the other media-related data.

2. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein the media object cluster is one from the group comprising:

time-based, location-based, keyword-based, people-based, camera-based, or rating-based.

3. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein the media content is stored locally.

4. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein the media content is comprised of an image or a video.

5. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, further comprising the step of presenting the media content object cluster in a document.

6. The computer-implemented method of claim 5, wherein the document is a media presentation.

7. The computer-implemented method of claim 6, wherein the document is comprised of one or more layers, effect containers, and effects.

8. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein the creating step comprises the step of associating media content with similar or same meta data, media characteristics, or other media-related data.

9. The computer-implemented method of claim 5, further comprising the step of authoring the document.

10. The computer-implemented method of claim 9, wherein the authoring step is performed automatically.

11. A system for authoring media effects, comprising:

one or more processors;

memory;

one or more programs stored in memory, the one or more programs comprising instructions to;

access media content;

analyze the media content according to meta data, media characteristics, or other media-related data; and

create a media content object cluster according to the meta data, the media characteristics, or the other media-related data.

12. The system of claim 11, wherein the media object cluster is one from the group comprising:

time-based, location-based, keyword-based, people-based, camera-based, or rating-based.

13. The system of claim 11, wherein the media content is stored locally.

14. The system of claim 11, wherein the media content is comprised of an image or a video.

15. The system of claim 11, further comprising the instruction to present the media content object cluster in a document.

16. The system of claim 15, wherein the document is a media presentation.

17. The system of claim 16, wherein the document is comprised of one or more layers, effect containers, and effects.

18. The system of claim 11, wherein the creating instruction comprises the instruction to associate media content with similar or same meta data, media characteristics, or other media-related data.

19. The system of claim 15, further comprising the instruction to author the document.

20. The system of claim 19, wherein the instruction to author is performed automatically.

21. A computer-readable storage medium storing one or more programs configured for execution by a computer, the one or more programs comprising instructions to:

access media content;

analyze the media content according to meta data, media characteristics, or other media-related data; and

create a media content object cluster according to the meta data, the media characteristics, or the other media-related data.
