Abstract

The enterprise service bus system communicates enterprise system bus messages across a cellular phone transport network. This system segments enterprise system bus messages into data segments according to the protocol used to transport the message. Furthermore, the system encapsulates each of the data segments and transmits the encapsulated data segments. In addition, the system receives the encapsulated data segments, decapsulates these segments and assembles the enterprise service bus message.

Claims

1. A computer-implemented method comprising:

coupling a device to a cellular phone transport network; and

communicating an enterprise service bus message over the cellular phone transport network with a device coupled to the cellular phone transport network, wherein the enterprise service bus message is encapsulated according to a cellular phone transport protocol used to transport the enterprise service bus message.

2. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein the cellular phone transport protocol is one of short message service, extended message service, multimedia message service, and BLUETOOTH.

3. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein the device is one of a cellular phone, mobile device, computer, and enterprise service bus server.

4. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein the communicating comprises:

accessing the enterprise service bus message with the device, the device configured to transmit the enterprise service bus message over the cellular phone transport network;

segmenting the enterprise service bus message into one or more data segments;

encapsulating each data segment for the cellular phone transport protocol, the cellular phone transport protocol to be used to transmit the each data segments; and

transmitting, with the device on the cellular phone transport network, each encapsulated data segment transmitted using the using the cellular phone transport protocol.

5. The computer-implement method of claim 4, wherein the number of data segments is based on the data payload of the cellular phone transport protocol.

6. The computer-implemented method of claim 4, wherein the encapsulating the each data segment further comprises:

receiving data for that data segment;

creating a header for that data segment; and

storing the header and data in that data segment.

7. The computer-implemented method of claim 6, wherein the header comprises an enterprise service bus message identification, a data size, an end of enterprise service bus message indicator, and a current data segment identification.

8. The computer-implemented method of claim 4, wherein the communicating further comprises:

receiving an indication from another device requesting one or more of the transmitted data segments to be re-transmitted; and

transmitting the requested one or more transmitted data segments.

9. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein the communicating comprises:

receiving one or more encapsulated data segments transported over a cellular phone transport network, wherein each of the one or more encapsulated data segments comprises data for the enterprise service bus message;

decapsulating the one or more data encapsulated segments; and

assembling the enterprise service bus message from the decapsulated data segments.

10. The computer-implemented method of claim 9, wherein the communicating further comprises:

determining that an encapsulated data segment for the enterprise service bus message needs to be re-transmitted; and

requesting re-transmission of the encapsulated data segment.

11. The computer-implemented method of claim 9, wherein the communicating further comprises:

forwarding the assembled enterprise service bus message to an enterprise service bus message processing module.

12. A computer readable storage medium having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by a processing system, cause the processing system to perform a method comprising:

coupling a device to a cellular phone transport network; and

communicating an enterprise service bus message over a cellular phone transport network with a device coupled to the cellular phone transport network, wherein the enterprise service bus message is encapsulated according to a cellular phone transport protocol used to transport the enterprise service bus message.

13. The computer-readable medium of claim 12, wherein the cellular phone transport protocol is one of short message service, extended message service, multimedia message service, and BLUETOOTH.

14. The computer readable storage medium of claim 12, wherein the method for communicating comprises:

accessing the enterprise service bus message on a device configured to transmit the enterprise service bus message over a cellular phone transport network;

segmenting the enterprise service bus message into one or more data segments;

encapsulating each data segment for the cellular phone transport protocol, the cellular phone transport protocol to be used to transmit the each data segments; and

transmitting, with the device on the cellular phone transport network, each encapsulated data segment transmitted using the using the cellular phone transport protocol.

15. The computer-readable medium of claim 14, wherein the method for encapsulating the each data segment comprises:

receiving data for that data segment;

creating a header for that data segment; and

storing the header and data in that data segment.

16. The computer-readable medium of claim 14, wherein the method for communicating further comprises:

receiving an indication from another device requesting one or more of the transmitted data segments to be re-transmitted; and

transmitting the requested one or more transmitted data segments.

17. The computer-readable medium of claim 12, wherein the method for communicating comprises:

receiving one or more encapsulated data segments transported over a cellular phone transport network, wherein each of the one or more encapsulated data segments comprises data for the enterprise service bus message;

decapsulating the one or more data encapsulated segments; and

assembling the enterprise service bus message from the decapsulated data segments.

18. The computer-readable medium of claim 16, wherein the method for communicating further comprises:

determining that an encapsulated data segment for the enterprise service bus message needs to be re-transmitted; and

requesting re-transmission of the encapsulated data segment.

19. A system comprising:

a communication module to communicate an enterprise service bus message over a cellular phone transport network with a device coupled to the cellular phone transport network, wherein the enterprise service bus message is encapsulated according to a cellular phone transport protocol used to transport the enterprise service bus message; and

a buffer to store at least part of the enterprise service bus message, the buffer including memory.

20. The system of claim 19, wherein the communication module further comprises:

an input module to access the enterprise service bus message, the system configured to transmit the enterprise service bus message over the cellular phone transport network;

a segmentation module, coupled to the input module, to segment the enterprise service bus message into one or more data segments;

an encapsulating module, coupled to the input module, to encapsulate each data segment for the cellular phone transport protocol, the cellular phone transport protocol to be used to transmit the each data segments; and

a transportation module, coupled to the input module, to transmit, with the system, each encapsulated data segment transmitted using the using the cellular phone transport protocol.

21. The system of claim 19, wherein the communication module further comprises:

a receiving module to receive one or more encapsulated data segments transported over the cellular phone transport network, wherein each of the one or more encapsulated data segments comprises data for the enterprise service bus message;

a decapsulation module, coupled to the receiving module, to decapsulate the one or more data encapsulated segments; and

an assembling module, coupled to the decapsulation module, to assemble the enterprise service bus message from the decapsulated data segments.
