Abstract
Stent grafts are provided comprising an endoluminal stent and a graft, wherein the stent graft releases an agent which induces the in vivo adhesion of the stent graft to vessel walls, or, otherwise induces or accelerates an in vivo fibrotic reaction causing said stent graft to adhere to vessel wall. Also provided are methods for making and using such stent grafts.

- 1. A stent graft, comprising an endoluminal stent and a graft, the stent graft further comprising a material wherein the material induces or accelerates an in vivo fibrotic reaction at a tissue in the vicinity of the stent graft.

A method for bypassing a diseased portion of a vessel of a patient, comprising delivering a stent graft to the diseased portion of the vessel wherein the stent graft comprises an endoluminal stent and a graft, the stent graft further comprising a material wherein the material induces or accelerates an in vivo fibrotic reaction at a tissue in the vicinity of the stent graft after delivery of the stent graft to the vessel.

A method for creating communication between a first blood vessel and a second blood vessel, comprising delivering to a patient a stent graft such that a passageway is created between the first blood vessel and the second blood vessel, wherein the stent graft comprises and endoluminal stent and a graft, the stent graft further comprising a material wherein the material induces or accelerates an in vivo fibrotic reaction at a tissue of the first blood vessel and a tissue of the second blood vessel in the vicinity of the stent graft after delivery of the stent graft.
