Abstract

Provided is a specimen preparation apparatus capable of supplying a specimen from the specimen preparation apparatus to a specimen analyzer without burdening an operator. This specimen preparation apparatus comprises a stained specimen preparation part for preparing a specimen on a slide glass and staining the specimen, a keeping part for storing the stained specimen slide glass prepared in the stained specimen preparation part and a control part for deciding whether to supply the stained specimen slide glass to the keeping part or to the external apparatus.

Claims

1. A specimen plate comprising:

a specimen preparation area on which a specimen is prepared; and

an information display area on which specimen-related information is recordable, wherein the information display area comprises a first display area in which at least some of the specimen-related information is coded in a format which is machine-readable bidirectionally in two orthogonal directions and a second display area in which at least some of the specimen-related information is recorded in a human-readable format.

2. The specimen plate according to claim 1, wherein the information display area is arranged closer to one longitudinal end of the specimen plate, and the first display area and the second display area are arranged adjacent to each other along a width of the specimen plate.

3. The specimen plate according to claim 2, wherein the specimen related information is coded in the first display area in a substantially square shape.

4. The specimen plate according to claim 3, wherein the second display area is divided into a plurality of sub-display areas.

5. The specimen plate according to claim 4, wherein the plurality of sub-display areas are arranged adjacent to each other along the length of the specimen plate.

6. The specimen plate according to claim 5, wherein the plurality of sub-display areas each extend along the width of the specimen plate.

7. The specimen plate according to claim 4, wherein the plurality of sub-display areas each carry text data.

8. The specimen plate according to claim 4, wherein the first display area and the second display area are substantially equally extensive along the length of the specimen plate.

9. The specimen plate according to claim 4, wherein the plurality of sub-display areas carry different types of specimen-related information.

10. The specimen plate according to claim 1, wherein a film is formed on a surface of the information display area, on which the specimen-related information is printable.

The specimen plate according to claim 10, wherein the specimen preparation area and the information display area are arranged adjacent to each other along the length of the specimen plate, and the printable film is formed to extend from the information display area along the length of said specimen plate so as to surround the specimen preparation area.

12. The specimen plate according to claim 11, wherein the specimen-related information is printed on a label, which is attached on said information display area.
