Abstract

The claimed subject matter provides systems and/or methods for the purchase, dissemination, configuration, or provisioning of applications to a mobile device. The systems can include devices that receive indications from a small to medium sized businesses of a need for an application, obtain the application from an independent software vendor, configure the application for utilization on the mobile device, and thereafter dispatches the application to the mobile device.

Claims

1. A machine implemented system that effectuates purchase, dissemination, configuration, or provisioning of applications to a mobile device, comprising the following machine executable components:

a delivery component that receives an indication from a small to medium sized business component of a need for an application, the delivery component retrieves the application from an independent software vendor component, configures the application for utilization on a mobile device, and dispatches the application to the mobile device.

2. The system of claim 1, the indication from the small to medium sized business component includes account information regarding a small to medium sized business entity, the account information includes at least one of payment details or assignment of users associated with the small to medium sized business entity to the account.

3. The system of claim 1, the indication from the small to medium sized business component includes information regarding configuration of the mobile device.

4. The system of claim 1, the mobile device assigned to a user based at least in part on the user'"'"'s job functionality within a small to medium sized business entity.

5. The system of claim 1, the delivery component utilizes over the air data interchange with the mobile device during dispatch of the application.

6. The system of claim 1, the small to medium sized business component associated with a small to medium sized business entity, the small to medium sized business entity includes one or more of a plurality of independently operating commercial ventures, one or more individuals, or a single business entity operating for its own independent benefit.

7. The system of claim 1, the delivery component automatically updates the application where the independent software vendor component dispatched an update to the application.

8. The system of claim 1, the delivery component effectuates including additional users to utilize an application previously deployed on other mobile devices affiliated with the small to medium sized business component, the delivery component configures one or more mobile devices associated with the additional users that are added to utilize the previously deployed application.

9. The system of claim 1, the delivery component utilized by a sales person affiliated with a telecommunication service provider to identify, provision, or manage one or more applications needed by a user employed by the small to medium sized business component.

10. The system of claim 1, the delivery component employed by a user to identify one or more application functionalities currently not extant with respect to a job functionality undertaken by the user.

11. The system of claim 10, the delivery component directs the application functionalities identified by the user to the independent software vendor component that employs the application functionalities to enhance the application.

12. The system of claim 11, the enhanced application dispatched by the independent software vendor component to the mobile device and notification of dispatch of the enhance application directed to the delivery component.

13. The system of claim 11, the enhanced application dispatched from the independent software vendor component to the delivery component, the delivery component disseminates the enhanced application to the mobile device.

14. A method implemented on a machine for purchasing, disseminating, configuring, or provisioning of applications to a mobile device, comprising:

obtaining indication from a small to medium sized business of a need for an application;

retrieving the application from a software vendor;

configuring the application for utilization on the mobile device; and

dispatching the application to the mobile device.

The method of claim 14, further comprising determining whether the software vendor is affiliated with a telecommunication service provider, where the software vendor is not affiliated with the telecommunication service provide requesting that the software vendor join with the telecommunication service provider prior to dispatching the application to the mobile device.

16. The method of claim 14, further comprising utilizing over the air data communications with the mobile device during the dispatching of the application.

17. The method of claim 14, further comprising identifying one or more application functionalities not currently performed by the application, the one or more application functionalities associated with a job responsibility undertaken by a user.

18. The method of claim 14, further comprising augmenting the application when the software vendor component sends an update for the mobile device.

19. A system that effectuates purchase, dissemination, configuration, or provisioning of applications to a mobile device, comprising:

a processor configures for obtaining indication from a small to medium sized business of a need for an application, retrieving the application from a software vendor, configuring the application for utilization on the mobile device, and dispatching the application to the mobile device; and

a memory coupled to the processor for persisting data.

20. The system of claim 19, the processor further configure for identifying one or more application functionalities currently not extant with respect to a job functionality undertaken by a user.
