1. An absorbent article, comprising:
- a fluid-permeable surface sheet;
a fluid-impermeable back face sheet; and
a liquid-absorbent core that is between the surface sheet and the back face sheet and that includes hydrophilic fiber and superabsorbent resin,the liquid-absorbent core having a plurality of through holes formed thereon and high-density regions, the high-density regions being each provided at a position adjacent to each of the through holes, a density of the superabsorbent resin in each of the high-density regions being higher than in another region.

Abstract
Occurrence of a protuberance due to swelling of superabsorbent resin is prevented in an absorbent article.
An absorbent article includes: a fluid-permeable surface sheet; a fluid-impermeable back face sheet; and a liquid-absorbent core that is between the surface sheet and the back face sheet and that includes hydrophilic fiber and superabsorbent resin, the liquid-absorbent core having a plurality of through holes formed thereon and high-density regions, the high-density regions being each provided at a position adjacent to each of the through holes, a density of the superabsorbent resin in each of the high-density regions being higher than in another region.

4. A method for producing an absorbent article, comprising:
-
a concave-section-forming step in which hydrophilic fiber is supplied to a mold having a projection section that projects from a bottom section and that is used to form a through hole extending in a front-back face direction, from a certain direction with respect to the mold, and in which a hollowed concave section is formed on an opposite side to a side of the projection section on which the hydrophilic fiber is supplied; and a supplying step in which superabsorbent resin is supplied to the concave section. - View Dependent Claims (5, 6)
