1. A method of prioritizing vitality events in a social networking computer system, the method comprising:

  • parsing a vitality event in a vitality stream of a user to determine a plurality of characteristics of the vitality event;

    increasing or decreasing a plurality of weights associated with the plurality of respective characteristics in response to receiving a first command from the user via the social networking computer system;

    comparing the plurality of weights to respective thresholds;

    determining that a weight of a first characteristic of the plurality of characteristics reaches a corresponding first threshold; and

    in response to the determining step, providing an inquiry on a social networking web page that enables the user to select at least one prioritization action to be performed with respect to vitality events having the first characteristic.
