- drawing a portion of the omentum tissue from an abdominal cavity through an incision in the body to secure the portion of omentum;
separating the portion of omentum tissue from the human body while cauterizing or coagulating the portion of omentum tissue to reduce bleeding; and
removing the separated portion of omentum tissue from the body.
