SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DELIVERING NEURAL THERAPY CORRELATED WITH PATIENT STATUS
First Claim
1. A method for treating a patient, comprising:
- collecting a data set containing values of a patient status and values of a spinal cord stimulation parameter at an implantable pulse generator;
analyzing the collected values of the patient status and the values of the stimulation parameter in the data set;
establishing a preference baseline containing individual preference stimulation parameters paired with corresponding individual values of the patient status;
receiving an indication of the patient status; and
in response to receiving the indication of the patient status, automatically adjusting operating parameters of the implantable pulse generator to generate an electrical stimulation signal and apply the generated stimulation signal to a spinal cord region of the patient.

Abstract
Therapy systems for treating a patient are disclosed. Representative therapy systems include an implantable pulse generator, a signal delivery device electrically coupled to the pulse generator, and a remote control in electrical communication with the implantable pulse generator. The pulse generator can have a computer-readable medium containing instructions for performing a process that comprises collecting the patient status and stimulation parameter; analyzing the collected patient status and stimulation parameter; and establishing a preference baseline containing a preferred stimulation parameter corresponding to a particular patient status.

22. A method for treating a patient, comprising:
-
establishing a preference baseline containing a first stimulation parameter value corresponding to a first patient status value and a second stimulation parameter value corresponding to a second patient status value, the first patient status value being different than the second patient status value; automatically monitoring the patient'"'"'s current status; automatically generating an electrical stimulation signal based on the first stimulation parameter value if a current value of the patient status has the first patient status value or based on the second stimulation parameter value if the current value of the patient status has the second patient status value; and automatically applying the generated stimulation signal to the dorsal column of the patient'"'"'s spinal cord. - View Dependent Claims (23, 24, 25)
