Abstract

A holding device for a cable or an assembly like a trunk or furcation adapter for use with a cable, comprising: a cradle part adapted to hold the cable or the assembly for use with a cable; and a cover part to be mounted to a supporting structure, especially to a wall of a distribution device; whereby said cradle part when combined with said cover part can be rotated with respect to said cover part.

Claims

1. A holding device for a cable or an assembly for use with a cable, comprising:

a cover part mountable to a supporting structure;

a cradle part adapted to hold a cable or an assembly for use with a cable, wherein the cradle part is rotatably mountable to the cover part such that the cradle part is rotatable with respect to the cover part.

2. The holding device of claim 1, wherein the cradle part is rotatable with respect to the cover part around an axis running mostly in parallel to the cable.

3. The holding device of claim 1, wherein the cradle part comprises an arcuate shaped protrusion, and wherein the cover part comprises a slot like recess, and wherein the arcuate shaped protrusion of the cradle part inserts into a slot like recess of the cover part.

4. The holding device of claim 3, wherein the slot like recess of the cover part extends in a circumferential direction of the cover part.

5. The holding device of claim 4, wherein the circumferential extension of the slot like recess defines an angle sector within which the cradle part is rotatable with respect to said cover part.

The holding device of claim 3, wherein the arcuate shaped protrusion comprises a plurality of arcuate shaped protrusions and wherein the slot like recess comprises a plurality of slot like recesses, and wherein one of the plurality of arcuate shaped protrusions inserts into one of the plurality of slot like recesses.

The holding device of claim 1, wherein the cradle part and the cover part each comprises at least a partially cylindrically shaped outer wall, wherein the outer wall of the cover part is at least partly surrounding the outer wall of the cradle part, and wherein the cradle part when rotatably mounted to the cover part is rotatable with respect to the cover part around an axis running mostly in parallel to a longitudinal axis of the outer walls.

The holding device of claim 7, wherein the outer wall of the cradle part comprises a hinge for pivoting a section of the outer wall of the cradle part on another section of the outer wall of the cradle part in order to open or close an interior of the cradle part, allowing the cable to be inserted into the interior of the cradle part in a radial direction when the interior of the cradle part is opened.

The holding device of claim 7, wherein the outer wall of the cover part comprises a hinge for pivoting a section of the outer wall on another section of the outer wall in order to open or close an interior of the cover part, allowing the cradle part to be inserted into the interior of the cover part in a radial direction when the interior of the cover part is opened.

10. The holding device of claim 1, wherein the cradle part is mountable to the cable or the assembly for use with the cable.

11. The holding device of claim 1, wherein the cradle part is an integral element of the assembly for use with a cable.

12. The holding device of claim 1, wherein the cover part comprises a recess for inserting a component, wherein the cover part is mountable to a supporting structure using the component.

13. The holding device as claimed in one of claim 1, wherein cover part comprises a component for mounting the cover part to a supporting structure.

14. The holding device as claimed in one of claim 13, wherein the component is an integral element of the cover part.

15. The holding device as claimed in one of claim 1, wherein the assembly for use with the cable is a trunk.

16. The holding device as claimed in one of claim 1, wherein the assembly for use with the cable is a furcation adapter.

17. A holding device for a cable or an assembly for use with a cable, comprising:

a cover part mountable to a supporting structure, the cover part having a first section and a second section, wherein the second section is connected to the first section by a hinge, wherein the cradle part is opened and closed by pivoting the second section on the hinge; and

a cradle part adapted to hold a cable or an assembly for use with a cable, wherein the cradle part is insertable in the cover part when the cover part is opened, and wherein the cradle part is rotatable with respect to the cover part.

18. The holding device of claim 17, wherein the cradle part is rotatable with respect to the cover part around an axis running mostly in parallel to the cable.

19. The holding device of claim 17, wherein the cradle part and the cover part each comprises at least a partially cylindrically shaped outer wall, wherein the outer wall of the cover part is at least partly surrounding the outer wall of the cradle part, and wherein the cradle part when inserted in the cover part is rotatable with respect to the cover part around an axis running mostly in parallel to a longitudinal axis of the outer walls.

The holding device of claim 19, wherein the outer wall of the cradle part comprises a first cradle part section and a second cradle part section wherein the first cradle part section and the second cradle part section are connected by a hinge for pivoting the first cradle part section on the second cradle part section to open and close an interior of the cradle part, allowing the cable to be inserted into the interior of the cradle part in a radial direction when the interior of the cradle part is opened.
