1. A mechanism for securing an endoprosthesis to corporeal tissue of a corporeal lumen, the mechanism comprising:

  • a tubular frame;

    an elongate member having a first end attached to the tubular frame and a second end that is movable away from the tubular frame so as to impinge upon corporeal tissue;

    a stress relief cut-out formed through the tubular frame and located adjacent the first end of the elongate member; and

    an incision formed through the tubular frame, the incision extending from the stress relief cut-out and around the second end.
