1. A windshield deicer for covering a forwardly and downwardly sloped windshield and comprising:

  • a pair of elongated handle bars to be spaced horizontally apart a predetermined distance on opposite sides of the windshield to extend the substantially the height of the windshield; and

    a plurality of flexible ice cutting cords vertically spaced equidistant apart and anchored on their respective opposite extremities to the respective handle bars and of sufficient respective lengths to, when the handle bars are spaced apart said predetermined distance, be drawn substantially tight into covering relationship over the windshield whereby the handle bars may be placed spaced apart said predetermined distance on the opposite sides of the windshield to draw the cords tight lying on the windshield such that, in the event of a coat of ice there over, one or the other of the handles may be grasped and raised progressively off the windshield to cut through the coat of ice.
