- a display layer whose display changes according to an applied voltage;
a photoconductive layer that is provided opposing the display layer and changes a voltage applied to the display layer according to irradiated light; and
a selective transmission layer that is provided on a light path to where light irradiated toward the photoconductive layer arrives at the photoconductive layer, and whose transmissivity with respect to the irradiated light increases as an intensity of the irradiated light increases.

an irradiation unit that irradiates light toward the optical recording display medium, the optical recording display medium having;
a display layer whose display changes according to an applied voltage;
a photoconductive layer that is provided opposing the display layer and changes a voltage applied to the display layer according to irradiated light; and
a selective transmission layer that is provided on a light path to where light irradiated toward the photoconductive layer arrives at the photoconductive layer, and whose transmissivity with respect to the irradiated light increases as an intensity of the irradiated light increases;a voltage application unit that applies a voltage to the optical recording display medium; a controller that controls the irradiation unit and the voltage application unit according to image data received as input; and a color developing unit that causes the selective transmission layer of the optical recording display medium to develop a color. - View Dependent Claims (7, 8, 9, 10, 11)
