1. A lamp comprising:

  • an outer shell with heat conductivity which includes a light source support, a heat radiating surface exposed to the outside of the outer shell, and a receptacle provided inside the heat radiating surface and having an open end on the opposite side of the light source support, and the light source support formed integrally with the heat radiating surface;

    a heat generating light source which is supported on the light source support, and thermally connected to the light source support;

    a lighting circuit which lights the light source, the lighting circuit contained in the receptacle and having a circuit board on which circuit components are mounted;

    a translucent cover which is provided in the outer shell so as to cover the light source;

    a base which includes a metal base shell and a connecting member having electrical insulation fixed to the metal base shell, the connecting member having a distal end on which a first engaging portion is formed, wherein the base is connected to the outer shell by fitting the distal end inside the open end of the receptacle.
