- generating a transmission waveform at the wireless communication unit,the transmission waveform based on a mapping of at least one directly-modulated sequence to a set of radio resource elements,the at least one directly-modulated sequence is a product of at least one transmitted coefficient and a corresponding base sequence, the at least one transmitted coefficient is based on a first channel corresponding to a first transmit antenna and a second channel corresponding to a second transmit antenna;
transmitting the transmission waveform from a transceiver of the wireless communication unit.
