- precipitating a CO2 sequestering carbonate compound composition from an alkaline-earth-metal-containing water, wherein the carbonate compound composition comprises carbon that was released in the form of CO2 from the combustion of fuel; and
producing a CO2 sequestering additive comprising the carbonate compound composition; and
producing a non-cementitious composition comprising the CO2 sequestering additive.
