1. A lamp comprising:

  • an outer shell with heat conductivity which includes a light source support, a heat radiating surface exposed to the outside of the outer shell, and a receptacle provided inside the heat radiating surface, and the light source support formed integrally with the heat radiating surface;

    a base coupled to the outer shell;

    a heat generating light source which is supported on the light source support, and thermally connected to the light source support;

    a lighting circuit which lights the light source, the lighting circuit having a circuit board on which circuit components are mounted, and contained in the receptacle so that the circuit board extends along the axial direction of the outer shell; and

    a translucent cover which is provided in the outer shell so as to cover the light source.
