Abstract
A media delivery system comprises a portable media server and a client device. The client device may be an audio player. The client device may also be an enabling part of the media server. A predetermined playlist of media assets is transferred from the server to the client when they are connected in a wired manner or in a wireless manner. Motion sensors such as accelerometers are integrated into earphones to control the operations of the audio player. In an exemplary case, the motion sensor in one of the earphone is used to increase the sound volume and the sensor in another earphone is used to reduce the sound volume.
