Abstract

Bending machine, in particular a folding press (1), comprising a machine frame (2), a press table (3) supporting a lower die (5) and connected to the machine frame (2), a press beam (7) supporting an upper die (8) and adjustable along a guide (11) on the machine frame (2) in the direction (12) of the press table (3) as well as at least one adjusting member (13) for adjusting the press beam (7) in the direction (12) of the press table (3) with two relatively adjustable adjusting elements (15, 17), wherein a first adjusting element (15) of the adjusting member (13) is drive-connected by means of a first connecting element (24) to the adjustable press beam (7). In this case a second adjusting element (17) of the adjusting member (13) is drive-connected by means of a second connecting element (25) in or below a horizontal reference plane (27) running through a press table bearing surface (4) to the machine frame (2) or the press table (3).

Claims

1. Bending machine, in particular a folding press (1), comprising a machine frame (2), a press table (3) connected to the machine frame (2) and supporting a lower die (5), a press beam (7) supporting an upper die (8) and adjustable along a guide (11) on the machine frame (2) in the direction (12) of the press table (3) and at least one adjusting member (13) adjusting the press beam (7) in the direction (12) of the press table (3) with two adjusting elements (15, 17) which are adjustable relative to one another, wherein a first adjusting element (15) of the adjusting member (13) is drive-connected by means of a first connecting element (24) to the adjustable press beam (7), characterised in that a second adjusting element (17) of the adjusting member (13) is drive-connected by means of a second connecting element (25) in or below a horizontal reference plane (27) running through a press table bearing surface (4) to the machine frame (2) or the press table (3).

2. Bending machine according to claim 1, characterised in that at least two adjusting members (13, 13′

) are drive-connected to the press beam (7).

3. Bending press according to claim 2, characterised in that the adjusting members (13, 13′

) adjacent to both face sides of the press table (3) are arranged substantially in a bending plane (30) running through the lower die (8) and upper die (5).

4. Bending machine according to claim 2, characterised in that adjusting members (13, 13′

) are arranged on opposite sides of the bending plane (30).

5. Bending machine according to claim 4, characterised in that the adjusting members (13, 13′

) are arranged symmetrically to the bending plane (30).

6. Bending machine according to one of claims 2 to 5, characterised in that the adjusting members (13, 13′

) are arranged symmetrically to a vertical middle plane (42) at right angles to the bending plane (30).

7. Bending machine according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that on the machine frame (2) or on the press beam (7) a securing device (37) is formed which fixes the press beam (7) in its position relative to the machine frame (2).

Bending machine according to claim 7, characterised in that by means of an uncoupling device (40) the first connecting element (24) of an adjusting member (13) is connected possibly detachably to the upper press beam (7) or the second connecting element (25) of an adjusting member (13) to the machine frame (2) or the press table (3).

Bending machine according to claim 8, characterised in that the first connecting element (24) of the adjusting member (13) can be adjusted completely until underneath the lower die (5) or the second connecting element (25) of the adjusting member (13) can be adjusted completely until above the upper die (8).

Bending machine according to one of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that on at least one longitudinal face side of the press table (3) at least temporarily a free space (39) is formed for the front-side introduction of a lower die (5) onto the press table (3) and an upper die (8) onto the press beam (7), if necessary by means of an adjusting member (13) which can be uncoupled and adjusted with the first connecting element (24) or with the second connecting element (25).

Bending machine according to one of claims 1 to 10, characterised in that the adjusting member (13) is formed by a pressure-driven linear motor (33), whereby a first or second adjusting element (15, 17) comprises a cylindrical pipe (18), and a second or first adjusting element (17, 15) comprises a piston (19) guided in the cylindrical pipe (18) and a piston rod (16) leading out of the cylindrical pipe (18).

12. Bending machine according to one of claims 1 to 11, characterised in that the adjusting member (13) is designed as a double-acting hydraulic cylinder (14).

Bending machine according to one of claims 1 to 10, characterised in that the adjusting member (13) is formed by a spindle drive (43), whereby a first or second adjusting element (15, 17) comprises a drive spindle (45) and a second or first adjusting element (17, 15) comprises a spindle nut (46) cooperating therewith.

14. Bending machine according to claim 13, characterised in that the spindle (45) is drive-connected to an electric motor.

15. Bending machine according to one of claims 1 to 14, characterised in that the first connecting element (24) or the second connecting element (25) are connected by means of an interlocking element (47) to the press beam (7) or the machine frame (2) or the press table (3).

16. Bending machine according to claim 15, characterised in that the interlocking element (47) is formed by a plug, bolt or pin.

17. Bending machine according to one of claims 1 to 16, characterised in that the press beam (7) in both adjusting directions has a potential adjustment speed of at least 150 mm/s, in particular at least 180 mm/s, preferably at least 220 mm/s

18. Bending machine according to one of claims 1 to 17, characterised in that the machine frame (2) comprises two substantially vertical C-stands (34).

19. Method for driving a press beam (7) of a bending machine, in particular a folding press (1), in which a press beam (7) supporting an upper die (8) is adjusted along a guide (11) on a machine frame (2) relative to a press table (3) supporting a lower die (5), whereby the adjustment is performed by at least one adjusting member (13) acting on the press beam (7) with two adjusting elements (15, 17) adjustable relative to one another, characterised in that during the pressing process to move the press beam (7) closer to the press table (3) the distance between a first connecting element (24) of a first adjusting element (15) drive-connected to the press beam (7) and a second connecting element (25) of a second adjusting element (17) drive-connected to the machine frame (2) or the press table (3) is shortened by a tensile force generated by the adjusting member (13), whereby the second connecting element (25) is drive-connected underneath a horizontal refernce plane (27) running through a press table bearing surface (4) to the machine frame (2) or the press table (3).

20. Method according to claim 19, characterised in that adjusting members (13, 13′

) are arranged on both sides of the bending plane (30) and the sum of the products of the tensile force exerted by the adjusting members (13, 13′

) on the press beam (7) with the distance (32) of its respective line of action (31) to the bending plane (30) is at least almost identical on both sides of the bending plane (30).
