1. A method of assembling an appliance comprising the steps of:
- providing a first substrate and a second substrate, each substrate having interior surfaces for bonding together;
depositing a curable silicone composition comprising silicone resin and optionally spacer beads on at least one of the interior surfaces of the substrates;
positioning the interior surfaces in mating arrangement to permit the curable silicone composition to maintain a desired spacing between the substrates; and
permitting the curable silicone composition to cure.
