Abstract
The present invention relates to analyte detection test systems, including test systems for the oral detection of analytes in saliva. The present invention also provides compositions and methods for storing multiple assay tests and compositions and methods for measuring the concentration of analytes in a sample.

2. A method for detecting the presence of ethanol in saliva, comprising:
-
a) contacting an assay test comprising a reaction site comprising i) a potassium iodide chromogen, ii) an alcohol oxidase enzyme, and iii) a peroxidase enzyme with saliva from a subject under conditions such that said saliva contacts said reaction site; and b) detecting the presence or absence of a visibly detectable signal in said reaction site, wherein said visibly detectable signal comprises a color change that occurs at a saliva ethanol concentration at or above a threshold level and wherein no color change occurs below said threshold level. - View Dependent Claims (3, 4, 5, 6)
