Abstract

Systems and methods displaying information from a mobile device are described herein. One embodiment of this disclosure provides method of triggering a wireless connection. The method comprises detecting a wired connection at a mobile device. The method further comprises adjusting a power to a wireless interface based on the detection of the wired connection.

Claims

1. A method of triggering a wireless connection, the method comprising:

detecting a wired connection at a mobile device; and

adjusting a power to a wireless interface based on the detection of the wired connection.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein detecting a wired connection at a mobile device comprises detecting a cable connected to the mobile device.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein detecting a wired connection at a mobile device comprises detecting the disconnecting of a cable initially connected to the mobile device.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein detecting a wired connection at a mobile device comprises receiving a message from a second device over the wired connection.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein adjusting the power comprises turning off the wireless interface.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein adjusting the power comprises turning on the wireless interface.

7. The method of claim 1, further comprising establishing a wired connection between the mobile device and a second device.

8. The method of claim 7, further comprising establishing a wireless connection between the mobile device and the second device.

9. The method of claim 1, further comprising establishing a wired connection between the mobile device and a third device.

10. The method of claim 9, further comprising establishing a wireless connection between the mobile device and a second device.

11. The method of claim 1, wherein the wireless interface is a Bluetooth interface.

12. The method of claim 11, wherein the mobile device comprises a Bluetooth modem.

13. The method of claim 1, wherein the mobile device comprises the wireless interface.

14. The method of claim 1, wherein the mobile device comprises a wired interface.

15. The method of claim 14, wherein the wired interface is one of MDDI, USB, Ethernet, magnetic charger, electric charger, DVI, VGA, TVOut, HDMI, or MHL.

16. The method of claim 1, further comprising adjusting the power to the wireless interface based on a message received via the wired connection.

17. The method of claim 1, further comprising overriding the adjusting the power to the wireless interface based on a user input.

19. The method of claim 17, further comprising establishing the wired connection between the mobile device and a third device.

18. A method of triggering a wireless connection, the method comprising:

detecting a wired connection at a mobile device; and

establishing the wireless connection between the mobile device and a second device.

20. The method of claim 18, wherein the third device comprises the second device.

21. A wireless communication device comprising:

a wired interface;

a wireless interface;

a first processing circuit configured to detect a wired connection at the wired interface; and

a second processing circuit configured to adjust a power to the wireless interface based on the detection of the wired connection.

22. The wireless communication device of claim 21, wherein the first processing circuit is further configured to detect a cable connected to the mobile device.

23. The wireless communication device of claim 21, wherein the first processing circuit is further configured to detect the disconnecting of a cable initially connected to the mobile device.

24. The wireless communication device of claim 21, wherein the first processing circuit is further configured to receive a message from a second device over the wired connection.

25. The wireless communication device of claim 21, wherein the second processing circuit is further configured to turn off the wireless interface.

26. The wireless communication device of claim 21, wherein the second processing circuit is further configured to turn on the wireless interface.

27. The wireless communication device of claim 21, further comprising a third processing circuit configured to establish a wired connection between the mobile device and a second device.

28. The wireless communication device of claim 27, wherein the second processing circuit is further configured to establish a wireless connection between the mobile device and the second device.

29. The wireless communication device of claim 21, further comprising a third processing circuit configured to establish a wired connection between the mobile device and a third device.

30. The wireless communication device of claim 29, wherein the second processing circuit is further configured to establish a wireless connection between the mobile device and a second device.

31. The wireless communication device of claim 21, wherein the wireless interface is a Bluetooth interface.

32. The wireless communication device of claim 21, further comprising a Bluetooth modem.

33. The wireless communication device of claim 21, wherein the wired interface is one of MDDI, USB, Ethernet, magnetic charger, electric charger, DVI, VGA, TVOut, HDMI, or MHL.

34. The wireless communication device of claim 21, wherein the second processing circuit is further configured to adjust the power to the wireless interface based on a message received via the wired connection.

35. The wireless communication device of claim 21, further comprising a third processing circuit configured to override the second processing circuit based on a user input.

36. A wireless communication device comprising:

means for detecting a wired connection at a mobile device; and

means for adjusting a power to a wireless interface based on the detection of the wired connection.

37. A computer program product, comprising:

computer-readable medium comprising;

code for causing a computer to detect a wired connection at a mobile device; and

code for causing a computer to adjust a power to a wireless interface based on the detection of the wired connection.
