Abstract

Tag data stored in a specific RFID tag is stored in a specific-data storing unit. Tag data is read from an RFID tag present in a communication area by an RFID reader through radio communication according to detection of a specific object by a sensor for detecting the object. When tag data same as the tag data stored in the specific-data storing unit is not included in the tag data read by the RFID reader, the read tag data is transmitted to a host apparatus.

Claims

1. An RFID system comprising:

a sensor configured to detect a specific object; and

an RFID reader configured to read tag data from an RFID tag present in a communication area through radio communication according to detection of the object by the sensor, wherein

the RFID reader includes;

a specific-data storing unit configured to store tag data of a specific RFID tag; and

a control unit configured to transmit, when tag data coinciding with the tag data stored in the specific-data storing unit is not included in the tag data read from the RFID tag present in the communication area, the read tag data to a host apparatus.

The RFID system according to claim 1, wherein, when tag data same as the tag data stored in the specific-data storing unit is included in the read tag data, the control unit of the RFID reader stops the transmission of the read tag data to the host apparatus until a predetermined waiting time elapses.

3. The RFID system according to claim 1, further comprising a room section that a person enters and exits, wherein

the sensor detects the person in the room section, and

the RFID reader reads tag data from an RFID tag present in the room section through radio communication according to the detection of the person in the room section by the sensor.

4. The RFID system according to claim 3, wherein

the room section is a fitting room in which the person tries on a commodity attached with an RFID tag, and

the tag data stored in the specific-data storing unit is tag data stored in an RFID tag carried by a store clerk of a store in which the fitting room is set.

5. An RFID system comprising:

a sensor configured to detect a specific object;

an RFID reader configured to read tag data from an RFID tag present in a communication area through radio communication according to detection of the object by the sensor; and

a server apparatus configured to receive the tag data read by the RFID reader, wherein

the server apparatus includes;

a read-data storing unit configured to store the tag data read by the RFID reader;

a specific-data storing unit configured to store tag data stored in a specific RFID tag; and

a control unit configured to store, when tag data same as the tag data stored in the specific-data storing unit is not included in the tag data received from the RFID reader, the received tag data in the read-data storing unit.

The RFID system according to claim 5, wherein, when tag data same as the tag data stored in the specific-data storing unit is included in the tag data received from the RFID reader, the control unit of the server apparatus stops the storage of the tag data in the read-data storing unit until a predetermined waiting time elapses.

7. The RFID system according to claim 5, further comprising a room section that a person enters and exits, wherein

the sensor detects the person in the room section, and

the RFID reader reads tag data from an RFID tag present in the room section through radio communication according to the detection of the person in the room section by the sensor.

8. The RFID system according to claim 7, wherein

the room section is a fitting room in which the person tries on a commodity attached with an RFID tag, and

the tag data stored in the specific-data storing unit is tag data stored in an RFID tag carried by a store clerk of a store in which the fitting room is set.

9. An RFID tag reading method using a sensor configured to detect a specific object, an RFID reader configured to read tag data from an REID tag present in a communication area through radio communication, a read-data storing unit configured to store the tag data read by the RFID reader, and a specific-data storing unit configured to store specific tag data, the method comprising:

detecting the object with the sensor;

reading the RFID tag present in the communication area with the RFID reader when the object is detected by the sensor;

determining whether tag data same as the tag data stored in the specific-date storing unit is included in the tag data read by the RFID reader; and

storing, when it is determined that tag data same as the tag data stored in the specific-data storing unit is not included in the tag data read by the RFID reader, the tag data read by the RFID reader in the read-data storing unit.

10. The method according to claim 9, further comprising stopping, when it is determined that tag data same as the tag data stored in the specific-data storing unit is included in the tag data read by the RFID reader, the storage of the tag data in the read-data storing unit until a predetermined waiting time elapses.
