1. A method for automatically updating system time of a mobile communication device, the mobile communication device having a storage, a world time clock, and a satellite signal receiving device, the method comprising:
- receiving satellite signals transmitted from a global navigation satellite system by the satellite signal receiving device;
determining a longitude and a latitude of a current position of the mobile communication device according to the satellite signals;
computing a current time zone and local time of the current position according to the longitude and the latitude by the world time clock;
updating the system time according to the local time of the current position in response to the current time zone being different from a stored time zone in the storage; and
showing the updated system time on a display of the mobile communication device.

The method computes a current time zone of a current position of the mobile communication device according to a longitude and a latitude of the current position determined by satellite signals. The method then updates system time of the mobile communication device according to the current time zone.
