1. Apparatus comprising a valve prosthesis for attachment to a native valve complex of a subject, the prosthesis comprising:
- a prosthetic heart valve; and
a support frame, which is shaped so as to define;
two or more commissural posts, to which the prosthetic heart valve is coupled, which posts are arranged circumferentially around a central longitudinal axis of the valve prosthesis, and extend in a downstream direction at a first angle with respect to the central longitudinal axis,a bulging upstream skirt, anda plurality of downstream axial support extensions, which join a downstream side of the upstream skirt, which extend in a downstream direction at a second angle with respect to the central longitudinal axis, the second angle greater than the first angle, and which are configured to apply an axial force to a downstream side of native leaflet tips of the native valve complex.
