1. A system comprising:
- a first cellular communication base station;
a second cellular communication base station;
at least one cellular communication device camped on the first cellular communication base station and in communication with the second cellular communication base station,wherein the first cellular communication base station is configured to;
alter periodically over time, within a specified frequency range, its clock frequency;
monitor, via the cellular communication device, during the altering, a signal strength level established between the at least one cellular communication device camped on the first cellular base station and the second cellular communication base station; and
determine periodically, a desirable clock frequency for the first cellular communication base station being the clock frequency for which the monitored signal strength for each altering period is maximal.

Abstract
A method of improving frequency accuracy of a clock unit adapted to clock a femtocell local cellular communication home base station is provided. The method comprising: providing a local cellular communication home base station having an oscillator adapted to operate as a clock therein, wherein at least one cellular communication device is camped thereto, and wherein the at least one camped cellular communication device is further in communication with at least one neighboring cellular communication base station which is associated with an oscillator adapted to operate as a clock therein; periodically applying a derivative operator over periodically obtained local communication parameters and periodically obtained neighboring communication parameters thereby generating derivative communication parameters over time; and correcting the accuracy of the frequency of the clock in the femtocell local cellular communication home base station using the derivative communication parameters over time.

a computer readable storage medium having computer readable program embodied therewith, the computer readable program comprising; computer readable program configured to alter periodically over time, within a specified frequency range, a clock frequency of a first cellular communication base station; computer readable program configured to monitor, via the cellular communication device and during the altering, a signal strength level established between at least one cellular communication device camped on the first cellular communication base station and a second cellular communication base station; and computer readable program configured to determine periodically, a desirable clock frequency for the first cellular communication base station being the clock frequency for which the monitored signal strength for each altering period is maximal. - View Dependent Claims (5, 6)

altering periodically over time, within a specified frequency range, a clock frequency of a local cellular communication base station having at least one cellular communication device camped thereon; monitoring, during the altering, a signal strength level of a communication channel established between the at least one cellular communication device camped on the local cellular communication base station and a neighboring cellular communication base station other than the local cellular communication base station; determining periodically, a desirable clock frequency for the local cellular communication base station being the clock frequency for which the monitored signal strength for each altering period is maximal, wherein at least one of the altering, the monitoring, and the determining is executed by at least one processor. - View Dependent Claims (8, 9)
