Abstract

Disclosed are a system and a method for implementing an XDM forward function described in [XDM2_RD] and [XDM2 AD]. The method includes the steps of: transmitting, by the XDM forward requesting user a forward request message for forwarding a desired XML document to the XDMS; receiving, by the XDMS the forward request message, determining if the XDM forward requesting user has been granted a forward authority for a forward-requested target XML document forwarding the requested XML document to the XDM forward receiving user when the XDM forward requesting user has been granted an authority to forward the target XML document, performing receiver authorization for determining if an XDM forward receiving user can accept the forwarded XML document, and confirming that the XDM forward receiving user owns the forwarded XML document and storing the possessed XML document in a user directory when the receiver authorization has been successfully performed.

Claims

1. An XDM (XML Document Management) system for implementing an XDM forward function, the XDM system comprising:

an XDM forward requesting user for transmitting a forward request message so as to forward a desired XML document to be forwarded to an XDM forward receiving user;

an XDMS for receiving the forward request message, determining if the XDM forward requesting user has been granted an authority to forward the requesting target XML document, determining if the XDM forward requesting user has been granted an authority to adjust a target XML document when the XDM forward requesting user wants to modify and forward a target XML document, forwarding the requested XML document or a part of the requested XML document adjusted by the filtering and the modification to the XDM forward receiving user when the XDM forward requesting user has been granted an authority to forward the target XML document and an authority to modify the target XML document, performing receiver authorization for determining if an XDM forward receiving user can accept the forwarded XML document or the adjusted part of the XML document, and when the receiver authorization has been successfully performed, confirming that the XDM forward receiving user owns the forwarded XML document or the adjusted part of the XML document and storing the possessed XML document in a user directory of the XDM forward receiving user; and

the XDM forward receiving user for transmitting a response with respect to acceptance of the XML document to the XDMS according to a user'"'"'s response when the XDMS makes a request for receiver authorization.

The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein, after the XDM forward requesting user contains information for adjusting and forwarding of the XML document in the forward request message, and transmits the forward request message containing the information, the XDMS determines if the XDM forward requesting user has been granted an authority to adjust a corresponding XML document when receiving the forward request message containing the information for adjusting and forwarding the XML document, and forwards an XML document obtained by applying the adjustment information to a corresponding XML document to the XDM forward receiving user when the XDM forward requesting user has been granted the adjustment authority.

3. The system as claimed in claim 2, wherein the information for adjusting and forwarding of the XML document corresponds to a filter rule used in order to perform an XDM forward for only a filtered XML document without modification of an original XML document for a forward request.

The system as claimed in claim 3, wherein, when the received forward request message contains the filter rule, the XDMS applies the filter rule at the time of forwarding a requested XML document to the XDM forward receiving user through the forward authority, and then forwards the applied XML document.

5. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the XDMS stores the forwarded XML document in a user directory of the XDM forward receiving user and transmits a forward execution result to the XDM forward requesting user.

The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein, when the XDM forward receiving user is not included in an identical domain, the XDMS forwards the requested XML document to an XDMS of an identical Application Unique ID (AUID) of a domain including the corresponding XDM forward receiving user at the time of forwarding the requested XML document to the XDM forward receiving user.

The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein, when the XML document to be forwarded is delivered to the XDMS of a domain including the XDM forward receiving user, the XDMS performs the receiver authorization for determining if the XDM forward receiving user can accept the XML document, and confirming that the XDM forward receiving user owns the forwarded XML document and storing the possessed XML document in a user directory of the XDM forward receiving user when the receiver authorization has been successfully performed.

8. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the forward request message contains an XCAP URI corresponding to the XML document for the forwarding.

9. A method for implementing an XDM forward function in an XDM system including an XDM forward requesting user, an XDMS, and an XDM forward receiving user, the method comprising the steps of

transmitting, by the XDM forward requesting user a forward request message for forwarding a desired XML document to the XDM forward receiving user to the XDMS;

receiving, by the XDMS the forward request message, determining if the XDM forward requesting user has been granted a forward authority for a forward-requested target XML document or if the XDM forward requesting user has been granted an authority to modify a target XML document when the XDM forward requesting user wants to modify and forward the target XML document, forwarding the requested XML document or a part of the requested XML document adjusted by the filtering and the modification to the XDM forward receiving user when the XDM forward requesting user has been granted an authority to forward the target XML document and an authority to modify the target XML document, and performing receiver authorization for determining if an XDM forward receiving user can accept the forwarded XML document or the adjusted part of the XML document,

transmitting, by the XDM forward receiving user a response with respect to the acceptance of the XML document to the XDMS according to a user'"'"'s response when the XDMS makes a request for receiver authorization; and

confirming, by the XDMS that the XDM forward receiving user owns the forwarded XML document and storing the possessed XML document in a user directory when the receiver authorization has been successfully performed.

10. The method as claimed in claim 9, wherein the XDM forward requesting user contains forwarding information for adjusting and forwarding of the XML document in the forward request message and transmits the forward request message containing the information.

11. The system as claimed in claim 10, further comprising the steps of:

determining by the XDMS if the XDM forward requesting user has been granted an authority to adjust a corresponding XML document when the XDMS receives a forward request message containing the information for adjusting and forwarding of the XML document; and

forwarding an XML document obtained by applying the adjustment information to a corresponding XML document to an XDM forward receiving user.

12. The method as claimed in claim 11, wherein the information for adjusting and forwarding of the XML document corresponds to a filter rule used in order to perform an XDM forwarding for only a filtered XML document without modification of an original XML document for a forward request

The method as claimed in claim 12, further comprising a step of applying by the XDMS the filter rule at the time of forwarding a requested XML document to the XDM forward receiving user through the forward authority, and then forwards the applied XML document, when the received forward request message contains the filter rule.

14. The method as claimed in claim 9, further comprising a step of storing by the XDMS the forwarded XML document in a user directory of the XDM forward receiving user and transmitting a forward execution result to the XDM forward requesting user.

The method as claimed in claim 9, further comprising a step of forwarding by the XDMS the requested XML document to an XDMS of an identical Application Unique ID (AUID) of a domain including the corresponding XDM forward receiving user at the time of forwarding the requested XML document to the XDM forward receiving user, when the XDM forward receiving user is not included in an identical domain.

The method as claimed in claim 9, further comprising a step of performing, by the XDMS the receiver authorization for determining if the XDM forward receiving user can accept the XML document when the XML document to be forwarded is delivered to the XDMS of a domain including the XDM forward receiving user, and confirming that the XDM forward receiving user owns the forwarded XML document and storing the possessed XML document in a user directory of the XDM forward receiving user when the receiver authorization has been successfully performed.

17. The method as claimed in claim 9, wherein the forward request message contains an XCAP URI corresponding to the XML document for the forwarding.
