Abstract

A printer is provided having a printhead having a plurality ejection integrated circuits each having a plurality of ejection nozzles on a wafer substrate, and a processor for processing print data and controlling operation of at least 10,000 of the ejection nozzles of the ejection integrated circuits based on the processed print data.

Claims

1. A printer comprising:

a printhead having a plurality ejection integrated circuits, each ejection integrated circuit having a plurality of ejection nozzles on a wafer substrate;

a processor for processing print data and controlling operation of at least 10,000 of the ejection nozzles of the ejection integrated circuits based on the processed print data.

2. A printer as claimed in claim 1, in which the processor is configured to control operation of at least 20,000 of the ejection nozzles of the ejection integrated circuits.

3. A printer as claimed in claim 2, in which the image processing apparatus is configured to control operation of at least 40,000 of the ejection nozzles of the ejection integrated circuits.

4. A printer as claimed in claim 3, in which the image processing apparatus is configured to control operation of at least 70,000 of the ejection nozzles of the ejection integrated circuits.
