Abstract

A display rack having a display header with a contoured surface to provide for an insert to be disposed proximate a product. The contoured surface may have a series of concave indentations, convex protrusions, a horizontal bending edge or a series of V-shaped protrusions or indentations. The display header may be retrofitted onto an existing display rack.

Claims

1. Modular display rack system with a plurality of members (12) for displaying a product (14) and a display header (16, 100) with a contoured surface (20, 104) for each module.

2. Modular display rack according to claim 1 wherein the members (12) from the plurality of members (12) are chosen from a group consisting of hooks, bars, baskets, plates, and/or shelves.

3. Modular display rack according to claim 1 or 2 wherein the display header (16, 100) with a contoured surface (20, 104) comprises at least two concave indentations (22).

4. Modular display rack according to claim 3 wherein the concave indentions (22) have a width between 0.5 and 2 inches, preferably between 0.7 and 1.5 inches, more preferably a width of 0.923 inches and a height of 2 inches.

5. Modular display rack according to claim 3 and 4 with a display header (16, 100) having a width of 12 inches and a height of 2 inches containing 13 concave indentions (22) with a width of 0.923 inches.

6. Modular display rack according to claim 1 or 2 wherein the display header (16, 100) with a contoured surface (20, 104) comprises at least two convex indentations protrusions.

7. Modular display rack according to claim 6 wherein the convex protrusions have a width between 0.5 and 2 inches, preferably between 0.7 and 1.5 inches, more preferably a width of 0.923 inches and a height of 2 inches.

8. Modular display rack according to claim 6 and 7 with a display header having a width of 12 inches and a height of 2 inches containing 13 convex protrusions with a width of 0.923 inches.

9. Modular display rack according to claim 1 or 2 wherein the display header (16, 100) with a contoured surface (20, 104) comprises a horizontal bending edge.

10. Modular display rack according to claim 1 or 2 wherein the display header (16, 100) with a contoured surface (20, 104) comprises at least three vertical bending edges with altering bending angles to form a V-shaped protrusion (105).

11. Modular display rack according to claim 1 or 2 wherein the display header (16, 100) with a contoured surface (20, 104) comprises at least three vertical bending edges with altering bending angles to form a V-shaped indentation.

Modular display rack according to claim 10 or 12 wherein the height of the display header (16, 100) lies between 1.5 and 3.5 inches, preferably a 2.5 inches and the width of each arm of the V-shaped protrusion (105) or indention lies between 1 and 2.5 inches, preferably at 1.5 inches or 2 inches.

13. A display rack comprising:

a plurality of members (12) for displaying a product (14); and

, a display header (16, 100) having a contoured surface (20, 104) disposed proximate the plurality of members (12).

14. The display rack of claim 13 wherein the members (12) from the plurality of members (12) comprise hooks.

15. The display rack of claim 14 wherein the contoured surface (20, 104) is comprised of at least two concave indentations (22).

16. The display rack of claim 15 wherein the contoured surface (20, 104) is comprised of at least two convex protrusions.

18. The display rack of claim 13, wherein the display header may be a non-curved surface.

19. The display rack of claim 13, wherein the display header may be a stepped header, the labels may be browsed through flipping.

20. The display rack of claim 19, wherein the display header may include three product labels in the same area.

21. The display rack of claim 13, wherein the display header may be 2.5 inches to accommodate two rows of labels.

22. The display rack of claim 13, wherein the display header is retrofitted on a display rack having a non-contoured header.

23. The display rack of claim 22 wherein the display rack further comprises mounting units.

24. The display rack of claim 22 wherein the contoured surface may be a non-curved surface.

25. The display rack of claim 22 wherein the contoured surface may be a zigzag surface.

26. The display rack of claim 25 wherein the contoured surface also includes attachment extensions.

17. A display header (16, 100) as described herein and claimed with one of the above-mentioned claims retrofitted on an existing display rack.
