The method includes steps of configuring a plurality of component carriers, which may contain uplink component carriers and downlink component carriers, to a UE in the wireless communication system, and indicating the UE to associate a first downlink component carrier of the plurality of component carriers with a measurement gap when the measurement gap is configured.
