HAND EXERCISING DEVICE
First Claim
1. An exercising arrangement for enabling a user to exercise the hand comprising:
- a hand of a user;
an anchoring member positioned over the palm of the hand of the user;
a support secured to said anchoring member and configured and dimensioned to bindingly support the anchoring member in position overlying the palm of the hand of a user;
a plurality of fingertip engaging members, each configured and dimensioned to be secured to a respective fingertip;
a first one of said fingertip engaging members being disposed around the tip of the thumb of the hand.a plurality of fingertip anchorings, each of said fingertip anchorings secured to a respective fingertip engaging member;
a plurality of respective base anchorings a first one of which is secured to said anchoring member at a point overlying the palm of a user;
a plurality of respective elastic members each having first and second ends, the first end of each of said elastic members being secured to said fingertip anchorings, and the second end of said of said elastic members being secured to said base anchorings, a first one of said elastic member being secured to the anchoring associated with said first finger tip engaging member, at its first end and secured to said first base anchoring at its second end, each of said elastic members having a length which results in stretching when the tips of the fingers and thumb of a user are moved from the respective positions which said thumb and fingers have when the hand is in the configuration of a first to the position which said thumb and fingers have when the fingers of the hand are outstretched.

Abstract
An exercising device for the hand is disclosed. A securement is secured to an anchoring member comprising a band with a pair of ends configured to extend around and be secured to the hand of the user and configured to support the anchoring member in a position overlying the palm of the hand of a user and is coupled to the hand of the user. A plurality of fingertip engaging members are each configured and dimensioned to be secured to a respective fingertip a plurality of fingertip anchorings. Each of the fingertip anchorings is secured to a respective fingertip engaging member. A plurality of respective palm anchorings are secured to the anchoring member. A plurality of respective elastic members each have first and second ends. The first end of each of the elastic members is secured to the fingertip anchorings. The second end of each of the elastic members is secured to the palm anchorings. Alternatively, the securement and the anchoring member comprise a closed loop elastic strap.

10. An exercising device for the hand, comprising:

(a) a hand of a user, said hand having a palm; (b) an anchoring member configured to be secured to the hand of a the user overlying the palm of the hand of said user; (c) a plurality of fingertip engaging members, each configured and dimensioned to be secured to a respective fingertip; (d) a plurality of elastic cords; (e) a plurality of respective base anchorings disposed on said anchoring member each secured or securable to one end of a respective one of said elastic cords, a first one of said base anchorings being secured over the palm of said hand; and (f) a plurality of fingertip anchorings each secured or securable to a second end of a respective elastic cord, said first ends of said cords being positionable to be anchored on a selected one of said base anchorings so that an outstretched finger being exercised is oriented in largely the same general direction as the tensioned elastic member, said first one of said base anchorings being positioned and configured to engage said first one of said elastic cords secured to a fingertip anchoring mounted on the thumb of the hand being exercised and exert a force against outstretching movement of the thumb in the direction of movement of the thumb when moving from the position of a first to the position of outstretched fingers, the length of said elastic cord being less than the distance between the tip of said thumb and said first base anchoring. - View Dependent Claims (11, 12, 13, 14, 17)
