Abstract

A portable container is provided which comprises a passing room(s) allowing entry into a second area into a first area, the passing room having at least two openings with a walkway in-between. Barrier device(s) can be located in the walkway but not connected to the first or second opening. A control room(s) can also be provided, the control room being connected to the passing room(s).

Claims

1. An access control unit, comprising:

a portable container; and

at least one passing room disposed in the portable container allowing entry into a second area from a first area, having at least a first passing room opening, and at least a second passing room opening, and a walkway in-between, the at least one passing room comprising at least one barrier device located in the walkway but not connected to the first opening or the second opening, defining a first space between the first passing room opening and the bather device, and a second space between the barrier device and the second passing room opening.

4. The portable container of claim 1, wherein the at least one passing room further comprises at least one security device providing authorization for a person to enter into the secured area.

7. The portable container of claim 4, wherein the at least one barrier device is the same as the at least one security device.

10. The portable container of claim 1, further comprising fencing attached or adjacent to the outside of the portable container utilized to define, fully or partially, the second area.

2. An access control unit, comprising:

a portable container;

at least one passing room disposed in the container, allowing entry into a second area from a first area, having at least a first passing room opening, at least a second passing room opening, and a walkway in-between, the at least one passing room comprising at least one barrier device; and

at least one control room disposed in the container adjacent to at least one passing room, with at least a first control room opening.

5. The portable container of claim 2, wherein the at least one passing room further comprises at least one security device providing authorization for a person to enter into the secured area.

8. The portable container of claim 5, wherein the at least one barrier device is the same as the at least one security device.

11. The portable container of claim 2, further comprising fencing attached or adjacent to the outside of the portable container utilized to define, fully or partially, the second area.

13. The portable container of claim 2, wherein the at least one control room further comprises at least one control panel to control the at least one barrier device in order for a guard and/or supervisor to monitor the at least one passing room while staying in the at least one control room.

14. The portable container of claim 2, wherein the at least one passing room further comprises at least one security device providing authorization for a person to enter into the second area;

and the at least one control room further comprises at least one control panel to control the at least one security device in order for a guard and/or supervisor to monitor the at least one passing room while staying in the at least one control room.

15. The portable container of claim 13, wherein the control panel comprises an alarm device which gives an alarm in case a problem occurs in the at least one passing room.

16. The portable container of claim 14, wherein the control panel comprises an alarm device which gives an alarm in case a problem occurs in the at least one passing room.

17. The portable container of claim 2, wherein there is at least one window between the at least one passing room and the at least one control room.

18. The portable container of claim 5, wherein there is at least one window between the at least one passing room and the at least one control room.

19. The portable container of claim 8, wherein there is at least one window between the at least one passing room and the at least one control room.

20. The portable container of claim 11, wherein there is at least one window between the at least one passing room and the at least one control room.

3. An access control unit, comprising:

a portable standard international shipping container; and

at least one passing room disposed in the portable container allowing entry into a second area from a first area, having at least a first passing room opening, and at least a second passing room opening, and a walkway in-between, the at least one passing room comprising at least one barrier device located in the walkway, defining a first space between the first passing room opening and the barrier device, and a second space between the barrier device and the second passing room opening.

6. The portable container of claim 3, wherein the at least one passing room further comprises at least one security device providing authorization for a person to enter into the secured area.

9. The portable container of claim 6, wherein the at least one barrier device is the same as the at least one security device.

12. The portable container of claim 3, further comprising fencing attached or adjacent to the outside of the portable container utilized to define, fully or partially, the second area.
