Abstract

An apparatus and article of for mobile device may comprise a primary unit and a secondary unit. The main memory unit may include a processor, a memory and a wireless interface subsystem. The secondary unit may be coupled to the primary unit. The secondary unit may include a prism and a display coupled to the prism.

Claims

1. A mobile device comprising:

a primary unit with a processor, a memory and a wireless interface subsystem; and

a secondary unit coupled to the primary unit, wherein the secondary unit comprises a prism and a display coupled to the prism.

2. The device of claim 1 wherein the prism is to magnify content in the display.

3. The device of claim 1 wherein the prism comprises one or more of an acrylic, clear plastic and polycarbonate.

4. The device of claim 1 wherein the display is to display a text title.

5. The device of claim 1 wherein the prism is to allow text on the display to be viewed at an oblique angle.

6. The device of claim 1 wherein the prism comprises a spherical shape.

7. The device of claim 1 wherein the prism comprises an asymmetrical shape.

8. The device of claim 1 wherein the prism is to cause text on the display to appear to be floating.

9. The device of claim 1 wherein the display comprises one or more organic light emitting diode display screens.

10. The device of claim 1 wherein a color of a background on the display is based on a priority level of text title displayed.

11. The device of claim 1 wherein the display is to display different background colors based on a priority level of the communication message.

12. The device of claim 1 wherein the display is to display scrolling text.

13. The device of claim 1 wherein the secondary unit further comprises a cradle which is optically adhered to the display and the prism.

14. An apparatus comprising:

a prism to magnify an image on a display;

a cradle for receiving the display;

a printed circuit board coupled to the cradle, and

a mounting base for receiving the printed circuit board.

15. The apparatus of claim 14 wherein the cradle, display and prism are optically bonded.

16. The apparatus of claim 14 wherein the display is to display text based on an orientation of the device.

17. The apparatus of claim 14 wherein the image comprises a text title.

18. The apparatus of claim 14 further comprising:

a flexible connector attached to the printed circuit board.

19. The apparatus of claim 14 wherein the printed circuit board comprises one or more dome contacts.

20. The apparatus of claim 14 wherein the display comprises one or more organic light emitting diode display screens.
