- creating a connection between two different terminals in a connecter, wherein the first terminal and second terminal are aligned, wherein the first terminal and second terminal are coupled together at a junction, wherein the connection is enclosed in a first layer comprising a sealing material, and wherein the first layer is enclosed in a second layer; and
preventing the exposure of the second terminal to materials in the environment of the first terminal.

In addition, these systems and methods include an o-ring preventing surrounding the first layer and a housing encasing the first layer and the o-ring.
