1. Device for connecting abutting ends (1) of two blood vessels (2) that will be continuous after being mutually connected, comprising a support part (3) that can expand automatically and that is insertable into the two ends (1) of the blood vessels (2) to be connected and that is made from a mesh or grid or cage with an inner, continuous lumen, wherein an outer cross section of the support part (3) approximately corresponds in a position of use to an inner cross section of the respective blood-vessel end (1) to be connected, the support part (3) is enclosed at each of two regions thereof that are adapted for insertion into the blood-vessel ends (1) by a removable ring or tubular piece (5) or fibrous sleeve and held to a reduced cross section and the tubular pieces (5), rings, or fibrous sleeves are removable.
